Join us for a brand new annual weekend event! Russian River Passport is limited to only a small number of participants, 40 wineries, and offers access to many smaller wineries that normally aren’t open to the public. Martin Ray Winery will be featured at Russian River Vineyards in Forestville on both days, along with 8-10 other wineries, a Santa Maria style BBQ straight off the chuck wagon and live New Orleans style music. Other participating wineries & restaurants, including Zazu, DeLoach, Sunce, Russian Hill, Arista, Pellegrini, among others will be featuring their own activities, wine & food pairings, live music, wine education, tours, a wide variety of specialty dishes & local foods and much more.

Ticket prices are $89.00 per person for both days, and $49.00 for just Sunday. You can purchase your tickets by e-mailing info@russianriverpassport.com or calling 707-922-1096. You will be assigned a "home winery/restaurant" to pick-up your passports and glassware. Your passport ticket purchase includes: a souvenir wine glass, unlimited tasting opportunities at all participating locations, access to all events & activities (a listing will be sent to you in advance), and your passport will be stamped at each location you visit to receive special "Passport Only" discounts. Mill Valley Market Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting

Annual Barrel Tasting Barbeque at Martin Ray Winery
Saturday, July 19th from 5:30-8:30pm

Once again, get ready to party this summer at Martin Ray Winery! Join us on the vineyard’s edge for a gourmet Spanish-style barbeque dinner by Park Avenue Catering; menu includes: chopped salad with chipotle vinaigrette, carnitas (beef or pork) with smoked tomato sauce, barbecue chicken with zinfandel mole sauce, black beans & rice with corn & poblanos, mushroom & zucchini pudding with Oaxacan cheese, tortillas, chocolate carmelitas and more! You will enjoy barrel tasting of one of our select reserve wines and Martin Ray and Angeline wines will be poured all night. Put on your dancing shoes for the Latin jazz, Salsa and Afro-Cuban rhythms provided by Batacha. We’ll even teach you the basic moves to keep you dancing all night!

Grape to Glass
August 15-17, 2008

Join us at Martin Ray Winery on Saturday, August 16th at 10:00am and 1:00pm for a unique panel discussion at our historic location. Our winery, formerly Martini Prati, is one of California’s oldest and most historic wineries. A unique panel discussion has been created for you to learn about wine making practices from the past and about the state of the art techniques being employed by today’s winemakers. Join Bo Simons, Wine Librarian of the Sonoma County Wine Library who will lead the conversation as you meet Tom Martini, fourth generation of the Martini Family, Anthony Beckman of Balletto Vineyards & Winery and Ray D’Argenzio of D’Argenzio Winery.

Tour through the Martin Ray facility where you will experience both the old and the new from 100 year old massive 11,000 gallon redwood tanks to 25,000 gallon stainless steel tanks. Hear from this panel of experts how modernization has enabled them to craft some of the Russian River Valley’s most sought after wines. Complete your tour with a tasting of wines Balletto Vineyards, D’Argenzio and Martin Ray and an assortment of local cheeses, breads and meats.

San Rafael Food & Wine Festival
Saturday, August 16th from 11am to 5pm

Come and experience a unique event held at the Fallkirk Cultural Center, a 19th century country estate Queen Anne Victorian designed by Clinton Day and built in 1881. The festival will take place on the lawn of this historic landmark on Mission Street between D & E Streets in San Rafael. Enjoy a day of wine tasting from regional wineries, featuring Martin Ray Winery, beer tasting from local breweries, Jazz entertainment, and food sampling from local restaurants in Marin County. Celebrity Chef 2008: A Tail of Two Cities

A Wine & Food Affair
Weekend of November 1st & 2nd, 2008

The Tenth Annual Wine & Food Affair has become the premier event for the Russian River Wine Road. Join us for a weekend of wine and food pairing in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys. You will receive our new "Tasting Along the Wine Road" cookbook, volume 10 and an event logo glass as part of your ticket price. All of the wineries participating will have a favorite winery recipe in the cookbook, which they will prepare both days for you to sample, along with the perfect wine.
